THOR'S SAGA - a new documentary by Ulla Boje Rasmussen.
Seen from the perspective of the extraordinary family of the Thors, THOR'S SAGA is a unique piece of Nordic business history covering more than 100 years of Iceland's modern history. From being an impoverished remote Danish colony, through independence and fortune, up until the recent collapse of the central banks threatening Iceland with state bankruptcy.
Boje Rasmussen has worked on the film for several years bringing to the public never-seen-before archive materials on the Thors family's founder Thor Jensen, as well as spectacular scenes from the inside of the business life of Jensen's great grandchild Björgólfur Thor Björgólfsson.
THOR'S SAGA is co-produced by Icelandic TCFilms in a fruitful collaboration of Icelandic and Danish film professionals.
